On Thursday July 19, 2012 some 70 plus seventh grade students from South Fulton Academy, a KIPP Charter School based in East Point, conducted a cleanup project at the Historic Connally Family Cemetery in East Point. When asked their purpose in taking part in this activity they expressed a desire and sense of obligation to return something to the community. Congratulations to these young people and the adults who assisted in this project. The East Point Historical Society is eternally grateful.
